My Major Project:
My major project is to create a use for the building located at 2 Station Street.
The use that I have proposed is a Reggio Emilia Childcare Centre. The centre
will also have the resources to be an after school care facility.
Concept - Tunnel of Opportunity
My concept displays a moment of reflection. The idea behind this concept is to reflect back on what you came from. The beginning of the tunnel is narrow whereas the end opens up to a larger shape. The spikes are in place to represent that we each start from a similar place and being able to make our own decisions will give us individual opportunities.
Tasks from this week so far:
Monday - We were given a presentation on ways to create interesting final renders. We made our own work environment in archicad and were given the basics of a archicad template. Finalised our context model 2D details and continued experimenting with our concepts.
Tuesday - We began to space plan and determined what activities will be undergone in the space.
Wednesday - Created our fee proposal!
This sounds like a really interesting project with a good strong concept to develop into the space. Working with a space for children should be great fun. I will try to get some more information for you.
